2024 Saracens Player Awards

We are incredibly proud of our team for their hard work, dedication, and resilience, which led us to an unforgettable championship victory! This season, every player contributed to our success, but today we would like to give special recognition to those who stood out with their exceptional performances. These individuals went above and beyond, demonstrating exceptional talent and sportsmanship both on and off the field. Congratulations to our award winners—you are the heart of this team!

Adam Bacanin – Adam consistently put forth his maximum effort every game from start to end. He had the highest ball retention rating on offense and the highest tackle rating on defense and well deserving of the season’s Most Valuable Player Award.

Fares Alagha – Despite 2024 being Fares’ first season playing rugby, his keen desire to learn, complimented with speed during games enabled him to contribute in practices and during games earning him the Most Improved Player Award for 2024.

Joe Battelli – Joe had the highest attendance rating this season at 92% which included indoor training, spring training, all summer practices and games.

Rudi Arata – A consistent veteran presences on and off the field, Rudi played every game this season and led the team in scoring with 117 points.

Reese Gutierrez – A true force on the field, Reese was the leading try scorer this season with 14. It could have been 15 however, being the selfless player he is, he gave a try to a teammate during one game while they were both standing in-goal.

Liam Casey – as our team captain in 2024, Liam set the bar and the high standards of expected performance from the outset. His exceptional leadership was invaluable.
