Our Senior Men’s team competes in the TRU League “A” Division. The team is known for its dedication, skill, and camaraderie, consistently striving for excellence on and off the field while creating lifelong friends.
Winter training sessions are held at the Toronto Soccerplex on Sundays. These sessions are included as part of the membership for registered Saracens players. For new players, the cost to participate is $40 per month. To register, please complete our Recruitment Form.
During the summer months, training sessions are held at Sunnybrook Park.
Sheldon Persad brings over 40 years of experience in rugby as a player, coach, and administrator. He has coached at the high school, university, and club levels, and was an assistant coach for the Toronto Xtreme during the early days of the Canadian rugby league. A former Toronto Saracens player and board member, Sheldon is also the co-owner of Personal Best Health & Performance Inc. (PB), where he works with clients globally.
An NCCP-certified coach and Stress and Wellness Consultant, Sheldon has worked with athletes at the world championships, Commonwealth Games, Pan-American Games, and the Olympics. He is a Certified High-Performance Sport Scientist Leader and a co-founder of the Certified Professional Trainers Network (CPTN). Sheldon has been a key contributor to the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario and is a highly sought-after mentor in the sports community.
Sheldon’s coaching and leadership has been instrumental in our rebuild.

The squad concluded the 2024 season in the TRU League “B” Division with a record of 9-2, marking an impressive achievement with no defaults. Building on this success, the team triumphed in both of their playoff matches, positioning them for promotion to the TRU “A” Division for the upcoming season.
2024 marked a year of significant progress for the club, as it was the first full season of league rugby since the pandemic disrupted play in 2020. This remarkable recovery is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our players, coaches, and leadership team demonstrating the strength of the Saracens Club and our dedication to success.
